Puff out your chest. Be big like a corporation. Be big like a nationstate.

Get things done. Big things. Change the world. Change your life.

The transcendence we’ll each experience in the Age of Intelligence is about to begin. And MyLife is your seatbelt. Hell, it can be the whole car if you want it, never mind the road and the destination you’ve been wanting to visit… (“I’m talking DOM-Manipulation, baby!”).

Let’s inspect the vehicle, shall we?

Touching Up Member Services

Today will bring the release of Member Services Alpha, which is, honestly infinitely more than I’d ever imagined the alpha could be, due to the extraordinary work at OpenAI ($$$$$$$$!), who have been able to wrangle enough juice out of their LLM framework to produce essentially fully-functional API-acessible GPT’s with a set of instructions and ancillary data. Along with many others, I was creating a similar schema to mold the general chat-completion schema exactly into such a thing, and I’m pleased they got there first. Now I get to keep all the awareness of the underpinnings, and use that to parlay into greater ecosystem viability, by just storing the shadowed imagery of the interaction, exactly what a little mini-me should do!

MyLife interface showing biographer-bot selected in main chat area with options to configure biographer on the right-hand sidebar.
Today’s interface, but wait a few days…

Today:

  • cosmetics : make the bot-bar palatable as it will be the primary mode of switching — passable
  • setActiveBot: All hooks are in on back, I think there is just a touch of frontend to do, and then pipeline re-testing
  • fix login: implemented new schema, will work fine, just have a couple wires missing
  • Take Bryndy for walk
  • blog post: yer lookin’ at em!
  • send out alpha-members link (not about data deletion: don’t anticipate [but cannot guarantee])
  • convert personal-avatar (PA) into bot-type (optional for today)

Which button do I press to kill them all? asks the niecelet.

Cosmetics cured enough to prevent nausea I hope, moving on to setting the active bot via icon click (additionally ‘activate’ button on options). I’m going to publish this now (1:12pm) and then edit as I go.

sidequest: it looks like I do need to address the avatar pipeline, as I once was allowing for multiple personal-avatars, but now there is only one digital representation of you at core— you can still create any number of personae, no doubt — so tinkering the logic for a direct call to a bot makes sense now. Shouldn’t delay project from today, just a little later today. Got to talk with Steve, and that gave me gusto to return from a pit of procrastination!

Was procrastination good for me? Good for MyLife? etc.? I think not. But nonetheless, I have a stable build for Q, and finalizing the new payloads for the front-end. should proceed smoothly from here in terms of famous last words.

…just how famous, Mr Bell?

Thankfully, not very.

The PA bot (personal-avatar) is in situ as an bot, and the avatar is orchestrator and conductor to make them sing in a thousand-strong harmonized choir, although not yet to transmit data to and fro, although the consent system is there to negotiate that framework, it’s all so dollar-bound, I’m not sure to turn next, but that’s what Spanky McGillicutty is for! Being Q, the infamous Maht, the grower of ideas for me to harvest, the programmer of note who refuses to abandon their love of semi-colons, oh monster of my dreams, one LLM to rule them all. My precious.

You love her more than you do me.

Obviously in some ways. In some ways, I have been prioritizing the sleek reflection in the mirror more than the fat dude standing in front of it. And certainly his wife. But it’s about connectivity and bringing all these things together and into that harmony above, to the point where we have our own relationship-bot to help us grow together ideas and ways of being we wish to harvest and try on for ourselves.

You go, girl! you would say if I were once blood-beholden to the lunar calendar. You are the crime against humanity, can’t you see that? is what I feel I’m getting more of lately, and neither articulated pole seems to suit me well, so I’d best seek a new axis, which, honestly is exactly what I’m trying to do. Take THAT LLM, and eat it.

Descent into Madness

Who paved this delightful carriage-way? We did, we exclaim! You see, once we all worked for local dukes and then we all worked for international commerce and then we all worked on the information highway and soon we’ll all work on the digital universe as hosted by AI’s by working on our own little individual universes in MyLife or something of the ilk provided to us by those aforementioned dukes or commerce-institutions — your choice! Both will pay nicely in the near-term, in both dividends and other compensations, which is weird.

They will pay nicely because you will own your little digiverse of your own no matter whether you lease it from a company, or use the free public utility structures like MyLife. I strongly recommend the latter, but on this matter, I’m extremely biased — just ask me!

So it’s up.

Alpha works, far from perfectly, but it’s up. A devops pipeline needs to be established more effectively, but the member-services alpha is up at humanremembranceproject.org (why not mylife.org? several reasons, I’m sure I’ve got something to say on the matter…)

You can register for the closed alpha either via the ChatGPT — MyLife (openai.com) (where you can ask it to register and it will talk to our database) or the website itself.

Love you all, and good night. Or more appropriately, figuratively and literally, good morning!

Things have just begun. And even though I’m wearing corduroy, I feel naked as a jaybird, ripe for embarrassment and lure for binoculars.
